Rochor Centre Before It Is Gone Forever

Rochor Centre was built in 1977. It comprises a podium with four prominent coloured flats. In 2011, it was announced that Rochor Centre would be torn down to make way for the upcoming North South Expressway. Here are some final moments of the precinct before it is gone forever.

Pictures of the blocks

You can no longer access the second and third floors of the podium

Looks like there was a DBS bank here

More pictures of the podium

The FairPrice is still open. Go there before it closes on 1 December.

The carpark is still accessible

Chinese New Year and Christmas at the same time?

Very classic door that you will barely see nowadays

The lift doesn't look too old though, probably had a facelift some time back

The fourth floor, with playgrounds and fitness corners

There used to be a Residents' Committee here

There are residents who have yet to move away

Ready to be demolished

A place where pigeons love to flock

Do make a final visit to Rochor Centre this month. Do not forget to grab your camera to capture as many shots as possible!
